Who we are and what we do
Our Church is one of the ten parishes forming the Spelthorne Deanery
in the Kensington Episcopal Area of the Diocese of London.
It is a special, consecrated, working place for Christians– not a museum.
It is a place for the sacraments, prayer, hymns, music, celebrations and
remembrance. It is an expression of the faith of those who built it, and the
love of those who have handed it down to us, making it more beautiful.
We hope that all followers of Jesus Christ will find within the walls
refreshment and restoring peace.

St Hilda's is a Stewardship Church
Every year our Community raises enough money to pay our share of Diocesan costs, provide for our Priest, maintain our Church & Hall, provide support for poorer parishes as well as gifts for various charities.
Those that pay Income tax are encouraged to ask St.Hilda's to claim back the income tax on their donations, whether they are part of regular giving or just a one-off donation. Last year we were able to claim back over £ 11 000 in tax rebate. This costs the donors nothing, but increases their donations by 28%.
Individual gifts can be made under the 'Gift Aid' scheme.
All giving is completely confidential.
The Community of St Hilda's has always managed to balance its year-by-year financial commitments to God. In recent years we have faced the costs of an electrical fire (£ 16 000), a new sound system (£ 14 000) and Disability Act requirements (over £ 20 000 so far). Repairs to our roof are likely to cost in excess of £ 60 000.
One way to help preserve St Hilda's in good order for the benefit of future generations is to make a Legacy.

Paragraph about our churchmanship, acceptance of the ministry of women, welcoming of all newcomers and our support for Churches Together.
Special work amongst children under the leadership of Mrs Christine Davenport and an enthusiastic team of helpers.
The Church and its facilites have been upgraded to conform to Health & Safety legislation and Child Protection policy.
Our vision for Ashford:-
To commend the Christian Way by what
we do in our own lives and by service
in our local community.

St. Nicholas is a community of thoughtful Christians, working to live out the Gospel of Jesus. We feed our understanding of faith by constantly returning to its roots in the Scriptures and in the Traditions of Christian Spirituality, which we search with prayer and God-given reason. In this way we seek both to be and to serve community life in Shepperton.
We celebrate Eucharist at 8.00 a.m and 9.30 a.m on Sundays, and at 10.30 a.m. on Wednesdays.
A particular feature of our worship is Prayers for Healing, every 4th Sunday of the month at 6.30 p.m. using the liturgies of the Iona Community.

Traditional Church Music is a very important part of our worship.
It is led by a robed choir directed
by our Organist/Choirmaster, Dr Peter Pritchard.
Our organ is a Lewis, 2 manual, Tracker Action instrument with 18 Stops dating from about 1870, which we maintain to a high standard.
