The ministry and mission of the Church of England (and by default, St Hilda’s Church) is largely funded through the incredible generosity of those who give to it. During Stewardship Month, we will talk about money but we will also talk about other things that people give; their time, their energy, their knowledge and their talents. All of these things make St Hilda’s the welcoming community it is. All of these things maintain the buildings entrusted to our care.

St Hilda's Church on Parish Giving

St Hildas church has been a significant part of the community of Ashford as well as a Landmark in the town for over 90 years.

It has featured in milestone events such as baptisms, weddings and funerals for many residents of the town as well as being a welcoming congregation to variety of the residents both inside and outside the parish. The church hall has also provided a venue for a wide range of events and for a diverse group of organisations for many years.

It costs £413 a day to cover all the costs in running the church and the hall from heating and lighting the buildings to all aspects of its maintenance as a Listed Building. All donations are gratefully received and can be enhanced with a government scheme. Please follow the link above.

While this is a voluntary decision, it is one that could potentially have a huge impact on the life and future of your church.
